Real-time sync and offline mode

Multiple staff can use RideLogger from different desks or phones at the same time, and the app keeps working if the internet briefly drops.

What to expect

• Changes made by one person (a new trip, an approval) show up for everyone else automatically — no refresh needed.
• If you have an open modal or are in the middle of filling out a trip when someone else's change comes in, you'll get a toast — "Schedule updated by another user" — instead of your screen changing out from under you.
• If your connection drops, the app keeps working with the last-known data; a Database Connection indicator in Settings shows sync status.

Notes

• Offline changes sync once your connection returns — avoid closing the tab immediately after making a change while offline.
• The Database Connection card in Settings also shows a facility data-size monitor, which warns as your facility's data approaches Firestore's document size limit — see Facility data size warning.
